Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains what SVM Photography collects when you use svmphotography.in, why, and who it is shared with. It is written to describe what this site actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.

1. What you give us
The enquiry forms on this site collect:
- Your name and WhatsApp number — both required, so a trainer can reply
- Your city, your level and best time to call — optional, used to prepare for the call
We do not ask for your email address, date of birth, ID documents or payment details through this website.
2. What is collected automatically
When you arrive from an advertisement, the page records the advertising identifiers in the link you clicked so we know which campaign brought you:
- Google click identifiers (
gclid,gbraid,wbraid) and Meta's (fbclid) - Campaign tags (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content) - The page you landed on, the page that referred you, and your browser's user-agent string
Stored in your browser, not on our servers
This site uses your browser's local storage — not cookies of its own — to remember:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifiers and campaign tags | So a lead submitted on a later visit is still credited to the right campaign | 90 days |
| Language choice (English or Kannada) | So you are not switched back on your next visit | Until you clear browser data |
| Which version you chose (beginner or already shooting) | To show relevant content | Until you clear browser data |
| Visit count and whether you already enquired | To avoid repeating the same prompts | Until you clear browser data |
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing site data for svmphotography.in in your browser.
3. Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry about the course, to answer your questions about fees, dates and what to bring, and to measure which advertisements produce genuine enquiries. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to contact you about anything other than this course.
4. Who it is shared with
The main button on the enquiry form opens WhatsApp with a message drafted for you. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. From that point the conversation is between you and SVM Photography and is also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
Privyr (our contact management tool)
Your enquiry details are stored in Privyr so a trainer can follow up. This includes your name, number, city, level, preferred call time and the campaign identifiers above.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
This site uses the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. When you submit an enquiry we send Meta a conversion event so it can attribute it to the advertisement you clicked. Your phone number, name and city are included, but they are converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash inside your browser before transmission — Meta receives the hash, not the values themselves. Meta uses these to match the event to an account and to improve ad delivery.
Google (Analytics and Ads)
The same applies to Google, using Enhanced Conversions. Your name and phone number are hashed before they are sent.
Other services this page loads
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces
- jsDelivr serves the animation library
- YouTube, in privacy-enhanced mode (
youtube-nocookie.com), provides background footage. It does not set advertising cookies unless you play a video
Each receives your IP address as a technical requirement of delivering the file.
5. How long it is kept
Enquiry records are kept while there is a realistic prospect of you joining a batch, and routinely reviewed after that. You may ask us to delete yours at any time.
6. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or erase it, and you may withdraw consent. Write to the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
TO CONFIRM — grievance officerThe DPDP Act requires a named Grievance Officer with contact details published here. Add the name and email once decided.
7. Children
This course and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian is enquiring on a student's behalf, please tell the trainer on the call.
